Sydney is a Chicago nurse who loves her job, but also longs for a family of her own.

Gabriel has lived in the North Pole all of his life and has no desire to leave. But he also longs for a family, but isn’t interested in any of the elf women who live in Snowflake Springs Village.

After researching the idea that mail-order bride ads worked great among humans in the late 1800s, Gabriel decides to place his own ad, and ads magic to the ad that leads him straight to Sydney.

After exchanging a few letters with Gabriel, Sydney soon agrees to travel to meet Gabriel, not knowing that he is an elf who lives at the North Pole and helps Santa make the toys as head elf.
