As Shopoff works her way into the case, she uncovers more pieces of the puzzle,and more missing kids from decades ago, that seem to be connected by the same clues, but leave unanswered questions: Was there a serial killer and is the killer still alive?

As the trail of clues leads further West, Shopoff enlists the help of retired police officer Ben McTavish, who has a personal interest in the case. As the trail leads them to the prairies of Saskatchewan, threatening confrontations leads Shopoff to believe they may be getting close to finding out the identity of the Raccoon Man, and, maybe he is still alive.
